Portrait Unveiling at Eastside

Dr. Leonard Harber, the Rhodeback Professor Emeritus of Dermatology, has been honored with a portrait that was unveiled in November at Columbia-Presbyterian/Eastside. Dr. Harber was the fifth chairman of the Department of Dermatology, serving from 1973 to 1989. He is noted for his leadership in stimulating the development of clinical and basic science research programs in dermatology at Columbia. The portrait now hangs in the dermatology conference room in the Atchley Pavilion and will be moved to a permanent location once the renovated dermatology floor opens. Pictured in front of the portrait with Dr. Harber is Dr. David R. Bickers, the Carl Truman Nelson Professor and Chairman of Dermatology.
